Montanwerke Brixlegg AG is renowned for the high quality of its products. The cathodes manufactured in Brixlegg consist of high-grade copper with a copper content of at least 99.99 %. The principle impurity is silver with 6 to 10 ppm.
Brixlegg cathodes are listed on the London Metal Exchange (LME) as “Cathodes grade A“ with the brand name “BRX“. They comply with the EN 1978 standard, the IWCC regulations and the ASTM B115.

Round Bars and Cakes made of pure Copper
Round bars, billets and cakes made of pure copper are cast on vertical die-casting machinery of varied dimensions with or without oxygen, silver-, phosphorous- or low-tin-alloyed and cut to the customer’s requirements. These products comply with the standards EN 1976 and ASTM B170, B379, B187, B224 and B5.
Gold with 99.99 % fineness is produced as granules or 1kg-bars.
Silver with 99.97 % fineness is produced as granules.
Platinum/Palladium: produced as mixed cement with approx. 5 % Pt and 60 % Pd.
Granos (Iron Silicate Slag)
The slag from the blast furnace is granulated, classed and sold as a fine-grain, sharp-edged material for sandblasting under the trademark "Granos".
Copper oxychloride is produced in powder form as an active fungicidal agent for pest control.
Flowbrix is an active fungicidal agent for pest control, based on copper oxychloride. It is an aqueous suspension concentrate developed by Montanwerke Brixlegg AG which is distinguished by its especially high level of effectiveness.
Nickel sulphate is obtained in a pure form from the electrolyte of the refining electrolysis process, after the copper has been removed.
Chemical formula: NiSO4 * 6H2O; packaged in 25 kg bags.
Metal oxides are produced in the blast furnace as well as in the converter and contain high contents of zinc-oxides (blast furnace metal oxides) and tin-lead-oxides (converter metal oxides).
