TRAINING - Mechanical Engineering Technician

The training takes three and a half years.

Job description according to bmwfi:

  1. Read and apply technical documents
  2. Define procedures, materials and methods
  3. Plan and direct operating sequences, evaluate results, apply quality management systems
  4. Perform tasks in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations and norms and relevant environmental standards
  5. Select, purchase and test materials required
  6. Process mechanical parts, assemble mechanical modules and components
  7. Produce and adapt production programmes for computer assisted (CNC) machines and installations
  8. Assemble, install, test and operate machines and installations
  9. Manufacture and install replacement parts and machine components
  10. Maintain and service machine and installation parts
  11. Manufacture, assemble and test pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
  12. Measure and check technical dimensions of machines
  13. Diagnose, isolate and eliminate faults, deficiencies and disorders in installations and machines
  14. Gather and document technical data about processes and results
